First appointment, Podiatry and Chiropody assessment

This appointment is required if this is your first visit to podiatry. The first appointment will include an assessment to assess your blood supply, a neurological assessment and a visual check of your skin and nails. If necessary, a brief Biomechanical examination of your foot and range of motion in your foot joints will be carried out.
The appointment will include any necessary treatment within the time period of your appointment, which may include nail cutting, reduction of thickened toenails, corn and callus removal, conservative treatment of verruca and conservative treatment of fungal toenails.
Foot cream is also applied at the end of your treatment with advice for self management. A personalised treatment plan will be discussed during this appointment.
