Cancellation, lateness and Non-attendance Policy

Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure costs are kept to a minimum for our patients in terms of setting appointment charges, and the financial viability of the Private Health Care Podiatry Service we deliver. The policy also mirrors that of most private healthcare providers e.g. Dentists.
Non-attendance (or lateness of 10 minutes plus) with less than 24 hours’ notice of the appointment time will incur a 50% fee for the price of the booked treatment.
The payment of 50% of the fee will be needed before any future appointments are booked.
If you have booked a routine appointment, you will be given a card with the appointment date and time, where you have provided us with an email and Mobile you will also receive a reminder of your appointment 48 hours before the appointment. Any new patients will receive a confirmation text at the time of booking.
This gives you enough time to contact us and cancel, or re-schedule your appointment. Patients contacting us will do so via: 07368 923 656 or littlelondonpodiatry@outlook.com.
Cancelling with plenty of notice allows the appointment to be filled by another patient. When there is less than 24hours notice this cannot be undertaken due to the busy nature of the clinic.
When there are extenuating circumstances, we will listen to your account of those circumstances and decide on a case-by-case basis whether to uphold the cancellation fee.
It is easier for all concerned to provide as much notice about cancelling or re-scheduling an appointment and with more than 24hours notice so it can be back filled by someone who may be in pain and discomfort who need podiatric care.

Lateness
Please arrive to your appointment before the time booked. Being early allows you to be booked in, have any personal information updated, and be ready for the Podiatrist to see you.
Our lateness policy is to close the appointment slot 10 minutes after it starts if you are not present. You will then be liable for the cancellation fee outlined above. If you arrive less than 10 minutes late you will be seen but only until the completion of the booked appointment slot which will result in the treatment being less thorough and not to the usual high standard of care. This will be reminded to you at that point, and you may select the areas you wish to be treated first so they can be completed in the time frame remaining. The appointment fee will be the original appointment booked.
On rare occasions we may be running late with appointments. This is usually due to 2 reasons.
1) A patient required emergency treatment beyond the allotted time.
2) A patient attended late.
In the first instance we thank you for your patience and understanding knowing we are helping others in need of urgent care. You would want the same for your own care if in the same circumstances.
In the second instance please understand that this is why the policy has been introduced. Whilst lateness happens, it’s your issue, and shouldn’t become someone else’s.
If we cancel your appointment
If we need to cancel your appointment due to sickness or unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you with as much notice as possible and seek a mutually agreeable time to book you back in.
